When Influencers Live Contrary

For someone who has been cheated on before, cheating is a very sensitive subject that brings up all sorts of uncomfortable emotions. When someone cheats, it’s normal for all the feelings you felt before to resurface, even when you thought you’d dealt with them.

When I was going through some of the toughest times of my life, it was watching videos from Derrick Jaxn on YouTube that made me feel as if someone “got me.” The advice he gave was very useful and is still useful, but after rumors surfaced that Derrick had cheated on his wife, his image is now in a negative light.

When influencers and relationship gurus preach monogamy and don’t take their own advice, it’s a crushing feeling, especially if you spent hours listening to them and looking up to them, only seeing their perfect side.

All that is done in the dark eventually comes to light.

The Truth Never Stays In Darkness

After posting a YouTube video slamming affair rumors, Derrick followed up with a new video admitting to cheating on his wife, Da’Naia Jackson. And this has been very disappointing for the many women — me included — who looked up to Derrick to be the one man who would stay faithful to his woman in a world of lying, cheating men.

I watched every one of his videos so I couldn't believe the rumors until he admitted it. A day after Jaxn denied having sexual relationships outside of his marriage, the relationship expert came clean and told the world the truth.

In the video uploaded Monday featuring his beautiful wife, Jaxn confessed to cheating on her with multiple women. Seated next to her tightly holding her hand to the point viewers felt her discomfort, he confirmed that he’s cheated on his wife. Derrick admitted that he was involved with other women and further explained what that meant.
