Ariel, thank you for your input. I understand what you're saying. I'm trying to figure out whether we should consider the number of stories successfully nominated by publishers in the spirituality category or the tags used by Boosted stories.
In my opinion, relying solely on tags may not give an accurate representation, especially if spirituality isn't the main or first tag. For instance, a story tagged as memoir and nominated by a publisher in the memoir category could also have the spirituality tag, but its focus might be more on memoir rather than spirituality.
I hope you understand my point, Ariel. That's why we have publishers and nominators assigned to each category.
Additionally, comparing the numbers between spirituality and other categories like books, sports, or gaming may not provide the complete picture either. For example, if there are three boosted stories in spirituality and only one in sports, it doesn't necessarily mean there are no issues. It could simply mean that the tags you mentioned are all struggling.
I know you want the best for this program, and I share the same goal for writers in the spirituality niche. In my opinion, the best way to ensure everyone is served is to have a spiritual curator who can handle the spiritual stories submitted by the nominators in the spiritual category.
It is getting harder and harder to have stories with spirituality as the first tag accepted these days. The same kind of spiritual stories that used to be accepted in the past. Something has changed is all I’m trying to point out.
Patrick and I have both noticed these issues and I believe our perspective should be taken into consideration. We’re all on the same team and together we can find real solutions to these problems. 🤍
