- Ten years of spirituality have taught me to relax when it comes to God. Before that time, I didn’t quite understand God and his ways, but after being taught, I realized that God doesn’t care what you want. He cares about what you need. I wanted to get married. God didn’t give a damn about it. Because I needed to love myself first, all of my prayers went unanswered. However, God never fails to provide me with what I need. While traveling and in need of a place to stay, God moved quickly on my behalf. You stop resisting God when you truly understand this. He knows you better than you know yourself. He knows that your wants and desires could ruin you, so he ignores them, but when really you need him, he moves speedily. By knowing this, I am able to relax, knowing I have everything I need. The lesson? God knows when to send you exactly what you need. Knowing this has brought me peace.
