1. Lay The Foundation
It is human nature to complicate things. We do it all the time. We worry, stress, and fret over the future and where we are going in life. We spend a lot of time obsessing over things that do not matter.
Sometimes we just need to let go of all the complications and return to simplicity.
“Guide me, Spirit, and lead me where you want me to go.”
Isn’t that what the calling is all about? To walk with God along the path of your destiny?
To fulfill your calling, you must return to simplicity. You must go back to the basics. Many people would skip this step because it is simple and boring.
We’re all called to build our lives but you can’t build without a foundation. The question is, what type of foundation is your life built on? Is it built on a rock that won’t move when the storms come or is it built on sand, which is easily shaken when the winds and the rains come? Laying your foundation is the first thing to do in any endeavor. It is your foundation that determines how high you can build.
