10 Things You Should Know About The Ten Commandments

If I knew and understood these things earlier on in life, I wouldn't have found myself alone in the darkest nights

When I attended Sunday school as a little girl, the teacher would pick a random verse from the bible and read it to me and the other kids. I didn’t know what happened in the chapter before and after that and how it all came to be.

One random verse at a time didn't really help me understand the universe. I don’t recall being told that I needed to read the bible as a book to truly and deeply understand the universe and who God really is.

I couldn’t put the random verses together and therefore couldn't put the pieces of the puzzle together. I couldn’t comprehend all of it, but I went to church anyway because my mom was going.

Here are ten things I wish I knew about the commandments earlier on in life:

1. Other Gods Are a Waste of Time
